Emerald is a medium drive, low energy working bred Border Collie that came to us from Go West Border Collies. She does very well with scent work, herding, and rally. In our last scent work trial, she entered 8 runs, qualified 7 times, and brought home 6 first place ribbons and one 2nd place ribbon! She had multiple sub-10 second searches!  In the house, she is extremely mellow and easy-going. She has a sweet and goofy personality. Emerald is resilient and while she is sensitive to pressure, she does not crumble under it. She has medium food drive and low toy drive. Emerald travels well, has excellent house manners, and is clean in her crate. She's incredibly affectionate and friendly towards people. She's neutral towards dogs, preferring to hang out with her pack and her friends.

Emerald's parents are accomplished herding dogs, with her sire (Pecos Wild Bill) achieving  ASCA titles in sheep, cattle, and ducks, including earning a WTCH title. He has produced many working and sport dogs. Her dam (Luighseach) has an ASCA title in sheep. Emerald's littermate Wink (GW Whataflirt) is doing exceptionally well in herding, scent work, and agility. Emerald has numerous half siblings participating in herding trials, sports, and working.
